Last weekend we were birding in Jaén. Andújar is a beautiful place to watch raptors, passerines, Otter and Iberian Lynx and is only at 2 hours by car from Seville.
We spent three days there and we enjoyed with Vultures: big flocks of Griffon Vulture and several Black Vultures overhead, pretty close to take pictures. We saw as well adults of Spanish Imperial Eagle and Golden Eagle everyday. Unfortunately we hadn’t the chance to see Lynx but we saw many mammals like Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Mouflon, Pigs and Rabbits. At the end of the last journey we spent some time birdwatching small birds: Long-tailed Tit, Cirl Bunting, Blue Rock Thrush, Hawfinch, Dunnock were the most significant species.
During the trip we had really nice weather for December, warm temperatures during the day was so confortable at the lookouts with beautiful landscapes of the forest and rivers.
